You’re relaxing on a boat and there are sharks everywhere! It’s “Dangerous Animals,” Jai Courtney’s new horror movie. The “Suicide Squad” guy is killing it as a terrifying shark-loving villain.
It’s directed by “The Devil’s Candy” helmer Sean Byrne and written by Nick Leppard. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
Making Money at the Box Office
The movie made $1.5 million in its opening weekend. It’s in 1,636 theaters in the U.S.!
Especially since it was competing with Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” remake and “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”
It’s like a small fish that can defend itself against a big shark!

Audiences are crazy
People love it! On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a 74% audience rating out of over 100.
Compare that to Jason Statham’s “The Meg,” which only got half that. “The Meg” flopped with a low score, but “Dangerous Animals” is almost beating “Jaws” with a 91% rating. It’s wild – it’s pretty close to being the GOAT shark movie!
Why are sharks our favorite
Shark movies are the best, right? They’ve been scaring us since “Jaws” came out in 1975. It’s all about the mix of “Oh no, the ocean!” and “What’s next?”
In this movie, Jay’s character, Tucker, is a serial killer obsessed with sharks. He’s not just running from them – he’s using them! People say it’s his scariest role yet.
Why you should watch it
If you like thrills, sharks, and a bad guy who’s next-level weird, this is it.
“Dangerous Animals” is out now and it’s already a hit. Grab your squad, grab some popcorn, and get ready.
Oh, and be warned: the real danger isn’t just the sharks – it’s the people on the boat! 😂
