I’m Convinced Only 4 Villains in the Superman Trailer Can End The Man of Steel – Twist Could Change Everything!

Have you seen the new Superman trailer? People are saying that Superman looks a little weak, but I’m sure there are only four characters who can mess him up.

David Korenswet plays the Man of Steel in James Gunn’s DC Universe movie, and he has to face some serious bad guys.

Let’s take a look at who these four are and why they’re legit threats. Trust me, this is going to be wild!

Next up is Ultraman. This guy is like a dark mirror of Superman. In the comics, he’s an evil Superman from another Earth, but here, he could be a clone created by Lex Luthor.

Either way, he has the same powers – flying, strength, the works. The trailer shows him toying with Superman and locking him up with some shady crew.

He’s big, he’s strong, and he doesn’t mess around.
Fans are speculating whether he’s a lab experiment or something more, but he’s Ultraman!

First, there’s this weird sun-like monster. It’s glowing, huge, and looks like it can fry anything.
In the trailer, Green Lantern Guy Gardner – played by Nathan Fillion – tries to trap him in his ring of webs. Spoiler: It doesn’t work. Superman has to zoom in to save the day.

That’s how you know this thing is bad news. Some fans think that this evil Sun from the comics in All-Star Superman is Solaris, who is a complete beast.

If he’s the final villain, it’s going to take more than just a cape for Superman to win. I mean, he’s so intense that Lois Lane seems to be crying as she flies off to fight him!

    Hammer of Boravia Mysterious Muscle

Then there’s the Hammer of Boravia. He’s a complete mystery, but he’s connected to a bigger story.
Superman gets into a war between two fictional countries, Boravia and Jarhanpur, and it’s got people intrigued.

This hammer guy comes in, he shows off his massive and powerful heat vision, Superman’s own trick! Maybe he’s crazy Superman picked a side.

Could he even be a Kryptonian? Like, what if he’s a lost cousin out for revenge? He’s built like a tank and that heat vision means he has some serious strength. I’m excited to see what his deal is!

Lex Luthor The Brainy Bad Guy

Last but not least, there’s Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult.

He’s the main villain and he’s not just sitting around. Lex isn’t throwing punches in the trailer, he’s pulling strings. He’s got the Engineer, this woman who turns her hands into a buzz saw, and Metamorpho, who can make kryptonite – Superman’s kryptonite!

Lex is crazy smart, and the merch shows him in a warsuit, so he can play with Superman later. Holt is awesome – he was Beast in the X-Men – so Lex is going to be next level. With kryptonite and the suit, he’s really dangerous.

Sure, there’s a kaiju that’s threatening Metropolis, but it’s just a big lizard. Superman has dealt with the previous ones. These four, though? They’re different. Sun Demon is a powerhouse, Ultraman is a match for his strength, Hammer is a wildcard with heat vision, and Lex is a genius with a plan.

They have the potential to hurt Superman. Other heroes like Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific are in the mix, but these villains still look tough.

Online fans are losing it. Some swear by the sun demon Solaris how rad would that be?
While others think Ultraman is a clone because the multiverse isn’t in the DCU yet.

I’m obsessed with the Hammer of Boravia. Heat vision? It’s Kryptonian-level. Maybe he’ll have a background on Superman’s home planet.

Fun fact: I heard from my friend Jake, who’s a total comic book nerd, that Nicholas Hoult spent a ton of money on Lex’s warsuit scenes. He saw some of the set leaks on TikTok!

The movie is coming out on July 11, 2025, and I’m counting down the days. These four characters make it seem like Superman is in for a tough ride.

There’s the big scare of the Sun Demon, the fist fight of Ultraman, the surprise attack of Hammer, and the mastermind of Lex.
