Meet the new crew that’s shaking up the ER

There are some new faces coming to the second season, and they’re great to hear!

  • Charles Baker – you know, Skinny Pete from Breaking Bad – plays Troy, who is homeless but very calm and kind.
  • Irene Choi is Joy, a medical student who is very smart and doesn’t let anyone mess with her.
  • Laeticia Hollard is a new nurse who just finished school and is ready to join the service.
  • Lucas Iverson plays James, a fourth-year medical student and almost a real doctor – talk about pressure!
  • These new guys are going to be a lot of fun. Imagine Troy joking with Joey while James is nervous about the test – total chaos!

What is The Pit Even about?

If you haven’t seen it yet, The Pit is a crazy show about a trauma center in Pittsburgh. Every episode is like a crazy hour in the ER. The doctors and nurses are always stressed out – there are too many patients, not enough supplies to help them. It’s crazy!

The show is created by R. Scott Gemmill, John Wells, and Noah Viall, who also star in it. Noah has always been in the ER, so he’s a pro at this. He says it’s about real people you’d meet anywhere, which makes it very easy to get into. Even his old ER buddy George Clooney said it was “beautiful.” The fans love it – so do I!

Season 2 Will Be a Fireworks Craze

Season 2 is set to premiere on the Fourth of July weekend—how much fun is that? All the favorites are back: Dr. Robbie (Noah Viall), Dr. King (Taylor Dearden), Dr. Abbott (Shawn Hatosy), Dr. Langdon (Patrick Ball), and Dana Evans (Catherine LaNassa), the boss nurse.

R. Scott teases that Dr. King and Dr. Langdon are going to have some spicy moments. Drama alert! Last season ended on a cliffhanger, with a mass shooting at a festival that left everyone shaken.

Dana wanted to leave, Javadi and Matteo were flirting like crazy, and Dr. Langdon was addicted to drugs. Season 2 is taking all that chaos and running with it!

The Pitt Announces Season 2

It’s coming soon!

Here’s the best news: Season 2 is dropping in January 2026! Max veteran Casey Bloys confirms this. Not much longer to wait—yay!

Why is ‘The Pit’ so awesome? It feels real — like these could be your neighbors. The stories come from a hospital nightmare, but the cast kills it every time.

Plus, my friend Sarah says it’s so much better than boring reality TV.

With new characters and a cliffhanger from the first season, the second season is going to be a blast!
