What’s Chris saying?
Chris spoke to ScreenRant and it was true. He’s not filming Doomsday, but he still chats with the Russo Brothers and Robert Downey Jr. all the time. “It’s sad to be away,” he said. “Like, I’m not with the crew and it stinks.” He’s worried he’ll feel lonely after the movie ends
Fans were hopeful
There were talks that Chris might appear in Doomsday. Maybe as Cap again or as someone new? But no, nothing has been confirmed.
At the moment, these are all rumors. Imagine being at school and your best friend coming to the dance, but they don’t. Same excitement.
What’s he doing instead?
But Chris isn’t feeling too bad! He has a romantic comedy coming out called The Materialist. He’s starring alongside Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal, who is now Reed Richards in the MCU.
It’s due out on June 13, 2025. And he’s also in Honey Don’t! with Margaret Qualley.
It’s coming to theaters on August 22, 2025, after its Cannes debut.
Why this is a big deal
Chris has been the heart of the Avengers for years. With Downey returning as Doctor Doom, it’s a great experience to see him reunited.
Some say he might make a cameo, since he’s still close to the team. Maybe he’ll do a press tour to entertain — who knows?
